Requirements
Must:
- Over 3 years of experience in mobile application development
- More than 4 years of experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks
- At least 5 years of practical experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Appium
- Proficient in Java or another object-oriented programming language
- Strong grasp of test framework design patterns (e.g., Singleton, Page Object Model)
- Advanced knowledge of real device cloud platforms, parallel execution, and platform optimization (e.g., Sauce Labs)
- Familiarity with Java 8+ features, TestNG/JUnit 5, and build automation tools such as Maven or Gradle
- Experience with defect and test case management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr)
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver multiple QA projects concurrently across distributed teams
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Lean DevOps methodologies (preferred)
- Experience with native testing frameworks such as XCUITest and/or Espresso (preferred)
- Knowledge of Kotlin or Swift (preferred)
- Background in a regulated or high-transaction-volume industry is advantageous (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and uphold scalable mobile test automation frameworks for both iOS and Android applications
- Write, execute, and manage automated test scripts to ensure extensive test coverage across features and platforms
- Enhance test execution utilizing real device cloud infrastructure, including parallel test strategies
- Collaborate with geographically dispersed QA teams to manage multiple concurrent project releases
- Identify, log, and track defects through industry-standard bug tracking and test management tools
- Utilize established design patterns to maintain clean, reusable, and efficient test code
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QA processes, tooling, and best practices
Description
We are seeking a Senior Mobile Automation Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team in Raleigh, NC, with potential opportunities in Austin, TX, and the Dallas/Fort Worth/Westlake area. This 12-month contract offers a competitive hourly salary between $40.00 and $45.00. In this position, you will design, build, and scale mobile test automation frameworks for fast-paced product releases, ensuring high-quality delivery of mobile applications for both iOS and Android.
