Senior Linux Engineer

- 5 to 8 years of experience in platform engineering, Linux systems administration, or OS-level infrastructure roles - Strong practical experience with Linux systems, ideally Ubuntu or Debian-based distributions - Proven track record in tracking and applying security updates and CVEs - Experience with building Linux packages and managing repositories using tools such as APT and dpkg - Proficiency in operating system image creation tools like Packer - Hands-on experience with bare-metal provisioning and lifecycle management systems - Familiarity with Windows patching and update management procedures - Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing methodologies - Excellent troubleshooting and debugging abilities - (Preferred) Experience maintaining custom Linux distributions or internal package repositories at scale - (Preferred) Knowledge of kernel patching, driver updates, or low-level system troubleshooting - (Preferred) Experience with automated testing frameworks for operating system validation - (Preferred) Understanding of vulnerability management processes and tools - (Preferred) Experience integrating patching and validation workflows into CI/CD platforms - (Preferred) Familiarity with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools - (Preferred) Background in regulated or security-sensitive environments - (Preferred) Understanding of package signing, repository security, and software supply chain integrity
