Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or data warehousing
- Advanced skills in SQL, including stored procedures, functions, and performance optimization
- Proficient in data warehouse architecture and dimensional data modeling
- Proven track record with SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and/or Microsoft Fabric
- Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and on-prem SQL Server
- Strong grasp of ETL/ELT processes and data processing sequences
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, and contemporary cloud data methodologies
- High emphasis on data quality, governance, security, and system performance
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
- Ownership-focused and service-oriented approach
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain our enterprise data warehouse architecture
- Construct and oversee fact and dimension tables following the Kimball methodology
- Create, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric
- Enhance backend system performance and solve intricate SQL and data challenges
- Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and security across all solutions
- Identify and resolve data quality concerns in collaboration with technical and business teams
- Translate business needs into scalable data models and reporting structures
- Work with frontend BI developers to confirm backend structures meet reporting and analytics requirements
- Maintain knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, DAX, and Power Query (M) for design alignment and problem-solving
- Gather and refine requirements in dynamic and evolving settings
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Take ownership of solutions from data ingestion to final delivery
- Proactively broaden understanding of tools and platforms beyond assigned tasks
