Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related IT field, or equivalent professional experience
- Over 5 years of practical development experience with Natural and ADABAS in enterprise settings
- Documented experience in developing and supporting Natural applications, both online and batch
- Significant experience in:
- Complex debugging and root-cause analysis
- Resolving production issues and performance optimization
- Ad-hoc data analysis and reconciliation
- Proven ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation, including program specifications and operational runbooks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical issues to non-technical audiences
- In-depth knowledge of:
- ADABAS database structures, files, and access paths
- Natural subprograms, maps, and batch processing
- Job scheduling and execution using JCL and/or SCL
Responsibilities
- Manage Software AG Adabas and Natural databases, ensuring security and access controls
- Enable analytics and troubleshoot to resolve bugs and issues
- Guide environmental refreshes and system upgrades to satisfy business and compliance requirements
