Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, or applied AI.
- At least 2 years of practical experience in building and deploying Generative AI and LLM-based systems in live environments.
- Proficient programming skills in Python, especially in backend and API development.
- Knowledge in LLM application development, including prompt engineering, RAG, tool utilization, and structured output design.
- Experience in optimizing RAG pipelines with both structured and unstructured data.
- Familiarity with orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar tools.
- Experience with generative AI techniques like GANs and VAEs.
- Practical knowledge of vector databases and retrieval systems such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, FAISS, Elasticsearch, or Azure AI Search.
- Experience deploying solutions on cloud platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and contemporary deployment practices.
- Strong grounding in software architecture, scalability, reliability, and distributed systems.
- Experience in developing evaluation, testing, and monitoring pipelines for AI systems.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating with both technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities
- Design and create algorithms for generative models utilizing advanced deep learning methodologies.
- Develop and optimize LLM-powered applications and workflows for both internal and client-facing purposes.
- Construct and implement RAG pipelines using enterprise-level data sources, vector databases, and retrieval systems.
- Integrate various model providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, and AWS Bedrock, along with open-source models.
- Establish comprehensive evaluation frameworks to assess response quality, accuracy, speed, safety, and reliability.
- Apply prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool invocation, and model enhancement strategies.
- Deploy scalable AI services in cloud environments applying modern MLOps practices.
- Build monitoring, observability, and feedback loops to evaluate model and application performance in production settings.
- Set up and uphold guardrails, responsible AI policies, and security measures for all enterprise AI solutions.
- Mentor fellow engineers and influence the technical direction, architecture, and best engineering practices within the team.
Description
We are looking for a Senior Generative AI Engineer to design, develop, and deliver production-ready AI applications driven by large language models. In this role, you will lead the comprehensive development of Generative AI solutions, transforming real-world business challenges into scalable AI systems that provide significant value. You will collaborate closely with product, finance, data, and business teams to define our future Generative AI architecture. This position offers the chance to shape a foundational AI platform and take ownership of impactful products from conception to deployment in a collaborative setting that promotes technical independence. We operate in a hybrid work environment based in Ridgefield Park, NJ.
