Requirements
Must:
- Knowledge of design principles for assessing and resolving product/process issues
- Proficient in conducting root cause analysis and developing resolutions for design non-conformances
- Ability to research technical, operational, and quality issues and provide engineering solutions
- Skilled in identifying, documenting, and analyzing reported problems that may affect design intent and safety
- Experience in developing and implementing product/process improvements and supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT)
- Experience representing engineering in post-production environments and ensuring supplier compliance
- Ability to develop customer correspondence for equipment operation and maintenance
- Participation in on-site repair teams for disabled products and accident investigations
- Capacity to analyze repair damage and determine necessary structural modifications to ensure a safe work environment
- Competent in designing interim structural repairs and conducting static strength analysis
- Experience in developing non-destructive test procedures, tools, and standards
- Ability to work on 737 MAX structure, systems, and interiors, and support delivery activity
- Capability to work independently and demonstrate leadership in guiding others
- Willingness to support off-shift, weekend, and overtime work as needed
Responsibilities
- Apply design principles to evaluate and resolve issues throughout the product lifecycle
- Analyze processes, conduct root cause investigations, and create strategies for design discrepancies
- Utilize engineering expertise to address technical, operational, and quality challenges
- Document, analyze, and communicate problems impacting design safety and intent
- Recommend solutions and oversee their implementation to improve product or process efficiency
- Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and actively participate in design evaluations
- Represent the engineering discipline during the production and post-production phases
- Ensure that suppliers and build partners adhere to compliance standards
- Create guidance documentation for safe equipment operation and maintenance
- Engage with on-site teams for repairs and accident analysis
- Evaluate damage and modifications needed to ensure safe structural integrity
- Design temporary structural repairs and perform static strength evaluations
- Develop and implement non-destructive testing methods and standards
Description
