- Develop and articulate a coherent product vision and long-term strategic roadmap for the Internal Developer Platform. - Align product strategy with organizational goals, engineering requirements, and developer workflows. - Analyze market trends, platform engineering developments, and internal user feedback to inform strategic choices. - Manage and prioritize the product backlog to ensure impactful feature delivery. - Balance immediate improvements with long-term platform capabilities. - Facilitate timely and high-quality feature launches in partnership with development teams. - Create engaging product narratives that highlight the value and objectives of IDP features. - Present updates clearly and effectively to leadership, engineering teams, and stakeholders. - Communicate progress, timelines, risks, and dependencies transparently and confidently. - Oversee sprint planning, reviews, and agile ceremonies to ensure effective execution. - Manage quarterly and six-quarter roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business strategy and engineering capacity. - Assist teams in maintaining momentum for continuous delivery. - Collaborate closely with developers, platform engineers, architects, and other cross-functional teams. - Collect requirements, refine priorities, and align expectations among diverse stakeholders. - Translate technical concepts into actionable product specifications. - Define measurable key results (KRs) and connect product success with organizational objectives (OKRs). - Track platform performance, adoption, and developer productivity metrics. - Utilize data-driven insights to enhance the roadmap and maximize overall platform effectiveness. - Work intimately with engineering leadership to ensure feasibility, technical quality, and timely delivery of features. - Engage in iterative discovery, solution design, and planning for execution. - Advocate for developer needs while balancing technical limitations and business goals.
