Principal Platform Engineer – Cloud & DevOps

- Act as a technical resource for various enterprise platform components - Diagnose intricate platform issues involving interdependent technologies - Architect secure and scalable solutions across modules like ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, GRC, and CSM - Implement new platform functionalities, plugins, and integrations - Establish and enforce governance standards including data models and development norms - Oversee the platform lifecycle ensuring compliance with architectural standards - Enhance support processes while monitoring system health and performance - Evaluate enhancements for technical accuracy and readiness for production - Lead planning and execution of testing - Review junior staffs work to ensure architectural conformity - Educate teams on best practices - Supervise integrations through Integration Hub and REST/SOAP APIs - Spearhead platform upgrades and optimization of performance - Maintain architecture diagrams and comprehensive technical documentation - Engage in governance reviews and provide necessary technical approvals - Assess new release features and suggest implementation - Direct platform security initiatives - Manage access controls and cybersecurity standards while supporting incident management - Conduct audits on configurations and documentation - Manage initiatives focused on QA, safety, and risk mitigation - Handle relationships with technology suppliers - Contribute to RFPs and negotiate contracts and SLAs - Oversee work of contractors including invoicing and issue resolution - Mentor junior team members and offer technical guidance - Advocate for modern engineering practices - Collaborate to define CI attributes and system interrelations - Maintain mappings between applications and servers - Expect occasional travel and after-hours support in a 24/7 environment - Complete additional assignments as necessary
