Requirements
Must:
- Active Security Clearance
- Experience in Federal Contracting
- Familiarity with government environments including compliance with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP standards
- Proficiency in Penetration Testing Tools
- Knowledge of Vulnerability Remediation
- In-depth understanding of operating systems: Windows, Linux, and macOS internals
- Experience in scripting and programming with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages
- Skills in Network and Web Application Testing, including identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities such as SQLi, XSS, and CSRF
- Familiarity with Active Directory enumeration and exploitation in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- HVA Operator Certification (strongly desired)
- OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional) certification
- CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) certification
- GPEN (GIAC Penetration Tester) certification
- CPT (Certified Penetration Tester) certification
- Strong report writing and communication abilities
- Capacity to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences
- Experience in team collaboration and coordination between red team and blue team
Responsibilities
- Deliver penetration testing services using diverse tactics, techniques, and procedures to uncover exploitable vulnerabilities in networks and systems while assessing compliance with security policies
- Conduct network mapping and reconnaissance, document Rules of Engagement, develop test plans, and help secure management approval
- Execute external penetration tests based on system criticality, test objectives, and organizational needs, collaborating with IT staff to outline targeted testing scope
- Simulate external attacks to access systems and evaluate information exposure
- Perform internal testing to mimic insider threats, assessing risks posed by employees with different access levels
- Direct Red Team testing efforts toward obtaining specific target datasets, employing crafted emails, custom public websites, exploit codes, and social engineering strategies
- Analyze test outcomes, compile reports on identified vulnerabilities, and provide risk-based remediation recommendations
