Requirements
Must:
- Strong familiarity with the design of Telecommunications Outside Plant Facilities
- Knowledgeable in Utility Pole Design
- Ability to conduct field surveys on existing utility poles and identify all facilities present
- Capable of providing field support to outside plant workforces
- Proficient in Computer Drafting Systems
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Understanding of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC)
Responsibilities
- Engineering routine outside plant work orders specifically for pole work
- Project managing multiple projects concurrently
- Conducting field surveys and assessments related to utility poles
- Providing support to fieldwork teams in the outside plant environment
- Utilizing computer drafting systems for project designs
- Documenting project progress and maintaining detailed records
Description
We are seeking an OSP Engineer - POLES to join our team in Schenectady, NY. This is a hybrid position, requiring in-office attendance two days a week. As a Telecommunications Professional, you will play a pivotal role in engineering outdoor plant work orders and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
