Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise networking
- Strong expertise in routing, firewalls, DNS, and traffic flow analysis
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining secure application access technologies such as Zscaler Private Access or similar Zero Trust platforms
- Comprehensive understanding of Zero Trust Network Access principles and application segmentation
- Capability to assess complex, legacy networks and develop scalable access models
- Experience in environments that are regulated or compliance-focused, ensuring adherence to security standards
- Preferred Zscaler certifications such as Zscaler Digital Transformation Administrator or Engineer
- Completion of relevant Zscaler training courses for ZPA
- Industry-recognized certifications like CCNP, Security+, CySA+, or equivalent are desirable
- Familiarity with security and regulatory frameworks such as CJIS, NIST 800-53, or similar standards
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Enterprise ZTNA network and security teams, as well as application and identity stakeholders to create and manage ZPA-based access to internal systems
- Design, implement, and oversee Zscaler Private Access connectivity, including App Connectors and access policy configurations
- Analyze legacy network and VPN access needs, then translate them into ZPA application-level access models
- Support application onboarding to ZPA by validating network paths and coordinating testing activities
- Configure and manage ZPA access policies to ensure least-privileged access while minimizing operational disruptions
- Troubleshoot ZPA connectivity issues, including user access failures and routing problems
- Engage in migration efforts to shift users and applications from legacy models to ZPA in collaboration with stakeholders
- Maintain thorough documentation of ZPA configurations and access models in accordance with security and compliance requirements
- Create and update technical documentation including configuration procedures and operational runbooks
- Work with vendors and Zscaler support to address complex issues and enhance platform stability
