Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in testing hybrid mobile applications using Ionic, Cordova, or Capacitor.
- Strong knowledge of native iOS components, particularly with Swift.
- Familiarity with JavaScript and the native bridge behavior.
- Understanding of WKWebView rendering and offline/online hybrid flows.
- Experience validating Capacitor/Cordova plugins, including camera, geolocation, and in-app purchases.
- Knowledge of Xcode schemes and build settings, including provisioning profiles and test distribution.
- Proficiency in automation tools, using Java, TypeScript, or Python for E2E testing.
- Ability to inspect network traffic with tools like Charles or Proxyman.
- Experience with Xcode Instruments for performance monitoring and testing.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the testing strategy for hybrid and native iOS features.
- Create and manage test scripts, checklists, and automation frameworks for smoke, regression, and performance testing.
- Ensure plugin behavior remains consistent across various devices and operating system versions.
- Validate permission flows and error handling processes.
- Execute builds on simulators and physical devices while maintaining thorough documentation of defects.
- Collaborate with engineering teams for root cause analysis of defects.
- Establish QA environments and integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment.
- Implement structured release checklists for mobile app deployments, including validation of TestFlight builds.
- Monitor quality metrics and strive for improvement in testing strategies and coverage.
- Partner with security teams to assess compliance with privacy standards and app security practices.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to outline test plans, known issues, and risk assessments.
