Requirements
Must:
- Associates Degree in Precision Machining Technology or a related field
- Strong enthusiasm for Advanced Manufacturing processes
- Experience programming and operating CNC machining equipment (preferred)
- Familiarity with modeling tools such as Siemens NX or equivalent design tools (preferred)
- Experience with 3-Axis CNC milling equipment (preferred)
- 1 or more years of related work experience or equivalent education/experience
Responsibilities
- Operate advanced processing equipment, including 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills, manual lathes, and waterjet cutting systems
- Collaborate with Engineers on material and process development
- Assist in engineering drawings using CAD tools and execute cutting tests and analysis
- Conduct tests and aid in the analysis of materials, processes, and equipment
- Participate in the development of tests and routine analysis of failed parts and processes
- Generate data to assist in evaluating failure mechanisms and document findings
- Help create and revise technical documents and requirements
- Evaluate and qualify materials, suppliers, equipment, technology, and processes for conformance and productivity
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through the design, fabrication, and testing of new concepts and technologies
- Document and report on customer part results and R&D activities
- Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Work under general supervision in a lab environment
