Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in wireless device and/or network testing.
- Familiarity with lab network and vendor infrastructure.
- Expertise in 3GPP2 Layer 2 / Layer 3 LTE protocols and IMS SIP protocols.
- Background in 4G and 5G standards (NSA & SA) and device testing.
- Skill in test validation and tuning for mobility and handoff scenarios (5G-4G, Macro-Private).
- Exposure to multivendor environments and a solid understanding of mobility event parameters.
- Proficient in using RAN testing tools such as QXDM/QCAT, XCAL/XCAT, and Wireshark.
- Experience with Samsung and Android devices pertaining to debug mode and configuration.
- Ability to provide support by executing test cases designed for validating features and functions of private network staging and pre-production environments.
- History of validating test cases and procedures for partially and fully redundant core scenarios.
- Capability to deliver expected outcomes consistently.
- Competence in generating status updates and providing reports, test results, and raw data including log files and spreadsheets as required.
- Proficient in handling device logs for devices under test as well as reference devices for troubleshooting purposes.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for NSA and EP5G private network feature validation.
- Execute test cases to validate features and functions of private network staging and pre-production environments.
- Generate reports, test results, and raw data needed for Test Objects List activities.
- Validate test cases and procedures for both partially and fully redundant core scenarios.
- Communicate status updates and deliver reports on a daily basis or as requested.
- Supply device logs for devices under test and reference devices for troubleshooting upon request.
- Facilitate the validation and tuning processes for mobility and handoff scenarios across different network standards.
Description
We are a dynamic organization located in Euless, TX, seeking a Lab Validation Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role focuses on providing private networks engineering support, particularly for NSA and EP5G private network feature validation. We offer a collaborative environment where you will work closely with various teams to ensure the delivery of quality test results. Our facility is onsite at 1001 Bear Creek PKWY, and we value the impact of our team members contributions to our mission.
