Requirements
Must:
- 5-7 years of proven experience in IP routing, preferably with Cisco and Nokia
- Familiarity with datacenter spine/leaf architectures
- Skilled in Multi-protocol BGP, Labeled Unicast BGP, IS-IS, BFD, EVPN, Segment Routing, and L2 Class Of Service
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving network issues across L1-L3 platforms
- Understanding of Telecommunications/Service Provider architecture and design
- Strong collaboration skills along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with best practices for equipment installation, activation, turn-up, and network integration
- CCNP certification or equivalent experience
- Preferred: familiarity with 5G Mobility applications
- Preferred: experience with lab operational procedures and practices
- Preferred: knowledge of lab test tools such as Ixia and Spirent
- Preferred: scripting/automation experience (Python, Ansible, Shell, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Set up the lab test bed in accordance with requirements from the Network Planning and Maintenance Engineering teams
- Ensure the completion of the lab test bed setup prior to testing or development initiatives
- Organize and manage the scheduling of lab resources
- Provide support and troubleshoot test bed issues, including vendor engagement and escalation
- Maintain lab resources to guarantee production-level availability
- Oversee the management of test bed inventories
- Document and detail statuses in Jira requests
Description
We are seeking a Lab Engineer for our client in Richardson, TX, offering a competitive hourly salary ranging from $65.00 to $75.00. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating, managing, and troubleshooting a layer 1-3 spine and leaf network for hosting our clients Virtualized Mobility Applications. We emphasize collaboration across multiple teams to establish a robust environment that supports the dynamic demands of testing and development activities for next-gen networks.
