Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in cloud security, platform security, or security engineering
- At least 3 years of risk and control experience
- 3-5 years of experience in cloud security posture management
- 2-4 years of scripting or software development experience, with a preference for Python
- Practical experience with security configuration baselines or hardening standards
- Solid knowledge of:
- Public cloud platforms (Azure and/or Google Cloud)
- Policy-as-code or guardrail frameworks
- Infrastructure-as-Code tools (such as Terraform)
- Experience mapping security controls to industry standards (NIST, CIS, ISO, CSA)
- Proficiency in creating structured, audit-ready documentation
- Background in working within large, regulated enterprises
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and operationalize security configuration baselines across enterprise technology environments
- Convert security policies, industry frameworks, and risk requirements into codified, enforceable, and auditable baselines
- Facilitate preventative controls, drift detection, exception workflows, and enterprise-scale governance via the Cloud Security Benchmark (CSB)
- Collaborate with teams at the intersection of cloud security, GRC, risk management, and automation
Description
We are looking for a Security Configuration Baseline Engineer to lead the design and implementation of security configuration across our enterprise technology ecosystems. This position offers an hourly wage between $69.00 and $74.00, and is based in Chandler, AZ, with potential opportunities in Las Colinas, TX, and Charlotte, NC. As a contractor with possibilities for conversion, you will work in a dynamic environment focusing on technical solutions.
