Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity
- Profound understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001
- Experience with third-party risk evaluation
- Proficient in vendor management practices
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations
- Familiarity with vulnerability management processes
- Acquainted with Bitsight for security ratings and OneTrust for governance, risk, and compliance tasks
- Strong analytical skills paired with effective documentation abilities
- Able to clearly convey technical findings to non-technical audiences
- Experience in generating automated reports and dashboards related to risk exposure
Responsibilities
- Review and authenticate security evaluations provided by online driver training organizations
- Evaluate annual compliance attestations and pinpoint areas needing improvement
- Set up monitoring parameters in Bitsight and keep track of vendor security assessments
- Create reports and dashboards that illustrate provider risk levels
- Present findings and suggestions for remediation through OneTrust
- Update the Public Safety Driver Training Program Office with relevant information
- Investigate complaints and validate monitoring outcomes
- Track and report any upcoming changes to security controls
- Offer testimony at administrative hearings when necessary
Description
We are currently looking for a DPS-IT Security Specialist 2 (ITSS) for a part-time, remote position based in Grandview Heights, OH, with occasional requirements to be onsite in Columbus. The role requires around 10 hours of work per week, and we value flexibility including evenings and weekends. This position allows for other employment commitments, making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking to balance multiple responsibilities.
