Requirements
Must:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC, EDC, and metadata management tools
- Proven experience designing and maintaining data lineage mapping across hybrid data environments
- Proficient with metadata ingestion, ETL/ELT tools, and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
- Capable of creating and maintaining custom lineage connectors using APIs or SDKs
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, policies, and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Implement and configure Informatica IDMC data lineage capabilities, including metadata scanning, parsing, linking, and visualization
- Develop and sustain end-to-end data lineage maps for essential data assets across databases, ETL tools, cloud platforms, and BI/reporting tools
- Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Engineering, and Business stakeholders to identify, onboard, and validate metadata sources within Informatica IDMC
- Ensure accuracy and thoroughness of lineage by validating lineage paths, addressing gaps, and documenting transformation logic
- Automate metadata ingestion from systems such as Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Informatica PowerCenter/IICS, Tableau, and associated platforms
- Create custom metadata parsers, connectors, or scripts using Informatica APIs or SDKs when necessary
- Support compliance efforts (GDPR, HIPAA), impact analysis, and governance initiatives through precise lineage mapping
- Contribute to the development and upkeep of metadata workflows, governance policies, and lineage standards
- Provide training and support to users on how to access, interpret, and utilize lineage within the Informatica Data Catalog UI
