Requirements

Must:
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies. - Profound expertise with Palo Alto Networks and Check Point firewalls. - In-depth knowledge of Palo Alto zone-based architecture, including zone creation and mapping. - Familiarity with policy management solutions such as Tufin, FireMon, or AlgoSec. - Experience with log analysis and event correlation using Splunk. - Working knowledge of ServiceNow for managing changes, incidents, and problems. - Strong understanding of core networking principles: TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPN (IPSec, SSL), NAT, DMZ architectures, DNS, proxy services, and network segmentation. - Ability to interpret packet captures and conduct basic traffic analysis. - Excellent documentation, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills. - Capacity to operate both independently and collaboratively in dynamic, distributed environments. - Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and workflow enhancement is preferred. - Exposure to cloud security controls (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus. - Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto ACE/PCNSA/PCNSE, Check Point CCSA/CCSE, Tufin Certified Administrator/Security Expert, Network+/Security+ or similar is advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain firewall policies on Palo Alto Networks and Check Point platforms. - Oversee the complete lifecycle of firewall rules, including creation, optimization, cleanup, and decommissioning. - Configure and troubleshoot NAT policies (static, dynamic, hide, and bidirectional) to ensure secure and accurate traffic flow. - Set up, review, and resolve firewall routing issues (static routes, virtual routers, PBF, and dynamic routing integrations) to support effective traffic direction. - Leverage Tufin SecureChange or similar tools to analyze rule bases, streamline workflows, and automate change processes. - Review and process firewall policy change requests according to governance, compliance, and security best practices. - Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot firewall issues, access problems, and basic network connectivity issues. - Work collaboratively with Network, Security Engineering, Governance, and Operations teams to maintain policy consistency across global environments. - Manage change, incident, and request tasks using ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms. - Contribute to enhancing policy automation and workflow efficiency through scripting. - Assist with documentation, knowledge management, and policy governance processes.
