Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related field); advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing settings.
- Proven success in managing large-scale capital projects (ideally with budgets exceeding $50M).
- Strong foundation in engineering and manufacturing operations, including process enhancements and equipment installation.
- Preferred experience in milling, paper and pulp, or other continuous process industries (e.g., converting raw materials into finished products).
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on team management and development.
- Exceptional project management abilities (PMP certification is a plus).
- Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA), environmental guidelines, and lean manufacturing concepts.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, offering guidance on project implementation, technical troubleshooting, and professional growth.
- Oversee and implement large-scale capital projects from initial concept to commissioning, including budget management, scheduling, contractor oversight, and risk evaluation.
