Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Electrical, Software, or a related engineering field
- Over 8 years of experience in electronics and system design focused on new product development
- Proven experience collaborating with marketing teams to define user needs and requirements
- Expertise in developing software-driven electromechanical medical devices
- Broad engineering knowledge across multiple disciplines, with prior experience in ablation devices being a significant advantage
- Familiarity with single-use disposable devices
- Ability to generate comprehensive product design documentation including concept diagrams, specifications, requirements, and V&V reports
Responsibilities
- Act as a primary technical resource, contributing to all stages of new platform development from initial concept to commercialization and post-market support
- Collaborate with marketing and medical affairs teams to define and enhance user requirements for new product development
- Engage with physicians and other key users to gather insights and feedback during formative studies
- Architect, design, select, and evaluate essential system components, software architecture, and prototypes
- Test and facilitate the release of production devices, including single-use disposables and consoles for Ablation procedures
- Support development across mechanical, electrical, and software domains, utilizing technologies like touch screens, electronic circuit boards, and embedded microcontrollers
- Develop and test electromechanical systems and disposables for product development initiatives
- Create system diagrams, architecture, GUI designs, and participate in component selection and sub-system design
- Conduct verification and validation activities, tool planning, and design test fixtures for class 2 medical devices
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to expedite product development and testing processes
- Produce relevant documentation and support materials aligned with design activities and development goals
- Serve as a hands-on technical mentor to engineering teams, assisting with design ideas, problem-solving, and leadership by example
