Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience with ETL processes and techniques
- Strong understanding of database concepts and management
- Proficiency in API scripting
- Experience with Matillion ETL job development and orchestration
- Familiarity with Snowflake data warehousing and query optimization (preferred but not mandatory)
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, and window functions
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques such as star and snowflake schemas
- Competency in error handling and pipeline monitoring
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation (considered a plus)
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD practices for ETL jobs
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Experience with scheduling tools like cron, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing Matillion
- Load and manage data in Snowflake from diverse sources, ensuring schema integrity and optimal performance
- Refine transformation logic, job coordination, and utilize resources efficiently
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alert systems for ETL workflows
- Engage collaboratively with BI and analytics teams to ensure data availability and accuracy
Description
We are seeking a talented ETL Developer for a year-long contract position at our clients site located east of downtown Austin, TX, with a possibility of transitioning to a permanent role. This position is specifically for W2 employees of The Judge Group. Candidates based in or near Austin are preferred.
