Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Over 9 years of experience in the design, development, and integration of complex electronic systems or subsystems
- More than 5 years of experience in researching, developing, or assessing electrical, electronic, computer, software, and/or firmware requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with analog and/or digital circuit design, packaging methods, and/or power systems
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing subsystem requirements
- Preferred: Proficient in Mentor Graphics (Xpedition, Capital Suite)
- Preferred: Knowledgeable in SiMetrix (simulation tool for circuit analysis)
- Preferred: Experience with electro-optical and infrared sensors, ensuring proper integration and functionality
- Preferred: Familiarity with high-speed, low-latency electronic design
Responsibilities
- Derive and document hardware requirements from system-level specifications
- Develop and define electronic subsystems and unit-level architecture
- Create and write Statements of Work (SSOW) for board fabrication or related contractual obligations
- Apply technical expertise to derive and document electronics-related requirements (voltage, current, power, and signal integrity)
- Design, develop, and test mixed-signal electronic circuits and systems
- Lead the design and implementation of PCB layouts and schematics
- Collaborate with software and firmware engineers to ensure smooth integration of hardware and software elements
- Participate in and conduct design reviews (such as TRR, PDR, and CDR)
- Perform simulations and analyses to validate design performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues during the development and testing phases
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the electrical engineering team regarding design efforts
