Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 10 years in database administration.
- At least 8 years of experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL.
- A minimum of 8 years in database design, analysis, and performance tuning.
- At least 8 years of designing enterprise applications or services.
- A minimum of 8 years creating technical and functional design documentation.
- At least 8 years of experience in the Software Development Life Cycle utilizing Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- At least 8 years of developing multi-tier systems and applications, including SOA, Microservices, and 3-Tier applications.
- 6 years of experience in extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data into Azure SQL is preferred.
- 4 years managing large volume databases and disaster recovery infrastructure is preferred.
- 4 years of proficiency in adapting database structures for cloud environments, specifically Azure, is preferred.
- 3 years configuring PowerBI environments and developing PowerBI reports is preferred.
- 3 years of experience with DevOps technologies, including CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Azure is preferred.
- 2 years of experience migrating on-premises databases to cloud environments, especially Azure, is preferred.
- Azure certification is highly preferred.
- DBA Associate certifications are similarly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases while ensuring peak performance and availability.
- Lead the transition of on-premises Oracle databases to the Oracle DB@Azure Cloud, focusing on separating existing BLOB storage into data and Azure Blob Storage.
- Convert batch cron jobs to Oracle Database Jobs to improve workflow automation and efficiency.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks; modify database programs for performance Optimization and implement monitoring solutions to assess health metrics.
- Manage strategies for backup, restoration, recovery, and disaster recovery to maintain database integrity and continuity.
- Administer Oracle GoldenGate for effective data replication.
- Execute logical and physical data modeling, design relational database structures, and establish test database environments.
- Oversee data usage to ensure integrity and manage redundancy while reviewing user requests for new data elements.
- Ensure compliance of user interfaces for database administration and data output with EIR Accessibility standards and assistive technology.
- Develop and adhere to architectural standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures to secure the database environments integrity.
Description
