Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data integration and ETL development, with advanced skills in Informatica PowerCenter (9.x or later)
- Demonstrated ability in migrating PowerCenter workloads to Informatica Cloud (IICS/IDMC) on Azure, covering redesign, testing, and validation
- Proficiency in Snowflake architecture, SnowSQL, and performance tuning; Snowflake certification (e.g., SnowPro Core) or equivalent experience is mandatory
- Strong expertise in SQL, dimensional modeling, metadata management, and best practices in ETL/ELT; skills in query tuning and optimizing data warehouse performance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities; capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with architects, operations, and support teams
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, and related cloud services is preferred
- Knowledge of Git-based version control and CI/CD practices for ETL deployment is a plus
- Understanding of BI tools like Power BI and how data pipeline performance impacts reporting and analytics is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Redesign and migrate current Informatica PowerCenter mappings, workflows, and sessions to Informatica Cloud (IICS/IDCS) on Azure
- Develop, validate, and implement cloud-based ETL pipelines, ensuring a focus on scalability, reliability, and data integrity
- Conduct end-to-end quality assurance to guarantee the seamless functioning of migrated data integration components
- Examine Snowflake metadata using ACCOUNT_USAGE and INFORMATION_SCHEMA to identify and resolve performance issues
- Enhance query patterns, warehouse sizing, and resource utilization to boost efficiency and minimize compute costs
- Apply tuning strategies and consistently monitor Snowflake workloads to uphold peak performance
- Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to strategize deployment and address operational challenges
- Create comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials for support post-migration
- Ensure an efficient transition of pipelines and enhancements to support teams
