Requirements
Must:
- 10+ years of experience in data virtualization and modern data platforms
- Proficient in Starburst Data Virtualization
- Strong background in SQL performance tuning and data quality assurance
- Experience with relevant data tools such as Informatica, IDMC, Hive, and Kafka
- Familiarity with databases including SQL, Oracle, and PL/SQL
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data transformation concepts
- Skills in automated scripting with Shell and Autosys
- Familiar with issue tracking tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or Octane
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Starburst Data Virtualization solutions in enterprise environments
- Enhance query efficiency across various distributed data sources
- Review business requirements and data mapping to create comprehensive test plans and cases
- Conduct source-to-target reconciliation, validate data loading, and confirm the correct application of transformation rules
- Create and automate complex SQL scripts to ensure data validation for completeness and consistency
- Identify, document, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Octane
- Validate HiveQL, HDFS structures, and processing within Hadoop clusters
- Work collaboratively with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain data accuracy
