Requirements

Must:
- Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems, with a solid understanding of network infrastructure and business software applications. - Experience with mobile device operating systems, including iOS and Android. - Strong analytical and research skills, with a capability to troubleshoot and resolve intricate technical issues. - In-depth knowledge of IT architecture and security best practices for high-level technical consultation. - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills, able to work both independently and in a team. - Familiarity with ServiceNow (help desk ticketing system) and remote tools like Bomgar. - Experience managing Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions (Jamf, Intune) for device compliance and automatic software deployment. - Proficiency in supporting and maintaining enterprise security tools, including EDR agents (CrowdStrike) and disk encryption health. - Ability to manage user lifecycle and access within Active Directory and identity providers, ensuring secure login via SSO and MFA/Duo. - Associates degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Relevant certifications in end-user technology support (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCSA, Apple Certified Support Professional, or ITIL Foundations) are a plus.

Responsibilities

- Provide expert IT support to clients through various channels (in-person, phone, email, and chats) to ensure quick resolution and minimal downtime. - Troubleshoot and rectify complex technical issues involving Windows, Mac, networks, software, and hardware. - Utilize logs and diagnostic tools to uncover underlying causes of technical problems, capturing trends for proactive support and improvements. - Manage the delivery of peripherals and accessories to clients. - Handle and update service tickets through a service management tool (ServiceNow). - Carry out administrative responsibilities such as attending meetings and fulfilling specific tasks. - Analyze and report on technical issues and trends, providing insights to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction. - Identify opportunities for improving client experience and develop proposed solutions and recommendations for leadership. - Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors on various projects, conducting tests on new technologies and executing solutions. - Assist with network upgrades, including physical switch installations, cable management, and connectivity testing during infrastructure refreshes. - Manage logistics for desk moves, ensuring hardware setup and functionality on the first day. - Support the team in testing new software or hardware prior to organization-wide rollouts. - Stay informed about University IT standards, applying knowledge to deliver informed support and guidance. - Contribute to the creation and upkeep of a knowledge base (internal wikis), including troubleshooting guides and FAQs to assist future users.
