Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or Masters degree with 9 years of experience.
- Alternative consideration of a high school diploma or equivalent plus 16 years of relevant experience.
- IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or higher, with ongoing certification maintenance.
- Proven experience in architecting virtualization and storage solutions.
- Preferred: Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Systems or a related discipline.
- Preferred: Experience in containerized environments.
- Preferred: System engineering expertise across various platform environments.
- Preferred: Practical experience with security/compliance frameworks such as DCSA, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG.
- Preferred: VMware experience/certifications, particularly with vCenter and ESXi (v6.5+).
- Preferred: Experience with VDI deployments (e.g., Horizon, Hyper-V).
- Preferred: Strong knowledge of Windows domain architecture, including AD, LDAP, RADIUS, and certificate authority management.
- Preferred: Familiarity with SAN storage systems (NetApp ONTAP, E-Series, or similar).
- Preferred: Experience with enterprise backup solutions like Cohesity or PPDM.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage virtualization and storage platforms across the site, along with related infrastructure technologies.
- Act as a technical expert within a cross-functional team, offering guidance across various infrastructure domains.
- Manage and support essential infrastructure components, including hypervisors, storage systems, patching, system updates, and administering enterprise IT systems.
- Deliver advanced technical assistance for end users and internal teams, resolving complex issues related to software applications, tools, databases, and system access.
- Ensure seamless operation of multi-user systems by collaborating with network engineers, system engineers, desktop technicians, project managers, and IT leadership.
- Administer backup and recovery services, oversee file systems and disk allocation, and ensure enterprise virus protection adheres to security standards.
- Maintain security audit logs and documentation on all classified networks, in accordance with the direction of the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
- Operate with minimal supervision, independently developing solutions, driving initiatives, and implementing technical projects.
- Excel in a dynamic environment with varied assignments, high expectations, and collaborative interaction across all organizational levels.
