Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field, or at least four years of relevant experience
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and reporting
- At least two years of experience with Teradata and BigQuery
- Proficient in developing datasets on Qlik or Looker platforms
- Familiarity with at least two of the following: Knime, Alteryx, Python, Google Apps Script, BigQuery, and Google Cloud Platform
- Masters degree in Finance or a data-related discipline is a plus
- Experience in promoting self-service analytics platforms is advantageous
- Background in supporting Analytics for Finance teams is beneficial
- Comprehensive understanding of Business Intelligence and related fields
- Knowledge of data engineering, product analysis, visualization, predictive and prescriptive analytics
- Experience in a modern Data Warehouse environment
- Familiarity with Telecommunication data sets including Wireline, Wireless & Network data
- Proven track record of driving change in a dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of advanced technologies such as Teradata, Big Data, Machine Learning integrations, Hadoop, Hive, Cloud, etc.
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain business intelligence solutions for financial reporting and analysis for the Finance department and other involved parties
- Examine internal data to discover opportunities for data products and design reporting solutions to fulfill business demands
- Spearhead the run-and-operate transformation initiative by thoroughly analyzing financial data, including revenue, expenses, profitability, and customer patterns
- Anticipate upcoming business requirements and design scalable solutions to tackle current and future data needs
- Transform complex business inquiries into practical technical solutions
- Assess reports and data visualizations, providing constructive feedback
- Lead and implement process automation for reporting using Qlik, ThoughtSpot, Looker, Gemini, Knime, Alteryx, Google Workspace apps, Teradata, and BigQuery
- Establish and disseminate best practices for report and dashboard construction, promoting a culture of self-service analytics with suitable guidelines
- Collaborate with finance teams to comprehend their requirements and devise data automation and visualization solutions with a unified source of truth
- Convey requirements to the data products team, translating cross-functional business needs into data product specifications
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and techniques to foresee and implement groundbreaking business intelligence solutions
- Participate in cross-functional project groups to pinpoint and fulfill reporting needs
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve data analysis, reporting efficacy, and methodologies
- Work with teams to set clear objectives and KPIs, execute tasks, and meet project timelines
Description
We are seeking a passionate and results-driven BI Developer to join our dynamic team located in either Basking Ridge, NJ, or Irving, TX, with a hybrid work structure requiring three days a week in the office. In this role, you will play an integral part in utilizing data to influence strategic choices and streamline financial reporting processes. You will have the opportunity to create Business Intelligence solutions that cater to our Finance department and other teams reliant on financial data, ultimately contributing to our organizations growth and success.
