Requirements
Must:
- Strong expertise in Java (version 8 or higher) and frameworks like Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
- Experience in designing distributed systems and microservices architectures at scale.
- Solid understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and asynchronous programming.
- Proficient in API design (REST/gRPC), and security (OAuth2/JWT) integration patterns.
- Good grasp of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra).
- Familiarity with caching (Redis) and search technologies (Elasticsearch) is advantageous.
- Extensive experience with message streaming and queues.
- In-depth knowledge of blockchain principles: transactions, blocks, confirmations/finality, consensus mechanisms, gas/fees, wallets, and keys.
- Proven background in connecting backend services with blockchain networks/nodes, particularly Ethereum-compatible (Ethereum/Polygon/BSC) using Web3j or similar.
- Experience with permissioned blockchains (Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, Quorum) is a plus.
- Background in managing extensive blockchain deployments, focusing on node connectivity and RPC management.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying containerized microservices (preferred).
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps is preferred.
- Cloud experience with platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is beneficial.
- Understanding of security practices, including secrets management (Vault/KMS) and network security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services in Java that interact with various blockchain networks and nodes, whether public or permissioned.
- Construct and scale a microservices-based architecture that supports blockchain transaction workflows and event processing.
- Develop reliable services for transaction orchestration, smart contract execution, blockchain event listening, and data synchronization between on-chain and off-chain systems.
- Create scalable APIs (REST/gRPC) tailored for blockchain-integrated products and services.
- Enhance performance to accommodate high throughput and minimize latency, focusing on transaction handling, batching, retry strategies, and rate limiting.
- Ensure secure interactions with blockchain systems through best practices in key management, transaction signing, and secret handling.
- Implement observability and reliability standards that include logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks along with service level objectives (SLOs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to facilitate production deployments, handle incident responses, and assist in capacity planning.
- Contribute to architectural discussions, including considerations for event-driven architectures, caching methodologies, database selection, and deployment strategies.
