Requirements

Must:
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering and related fields - Strong expertise in Amazon S3, AWS Data Engineering, PySpark, SQL, and ETL/ELT frameworks - Hands-on experience in the banking and payments data domains - Proficient in Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and HDFS - Familiarity with Oracle databases - In-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts, data transformation processes, and data quality frameworks - Experience with cloud storage solutions and AWS ecosystems - Proficient in using tools such as Amazon S3, PySpark, SQL, Oracle, and Autosys - Experience with metadata-driven ETL processes is preferred - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and quality - Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows utilizing Amazon S3 for scalable data management - Develop scripts and automation for data movement between Amazon S3 and other platforms using PySpark or Shell scripting - Leverage advanced features of Amazon S3, including versioning, lifecycle policies, and access control - Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance to ensure high availability and reliability - Collaborate with data engineers, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to address data-related issues - Validate and manage HiveQL and HDFS structures, ensuring effective data processing within Hadoop/Spark environments - Operate within a metadata-driven ETL framework and manage batch/job scheduling - Create and maintain technical documentation, aligning with data engineering best practices - Support data governance and quality checks, adhering to compliance standards in the banking domain
