Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Security+ certification is required
- 5 to 7 years of relevant technical experience
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking) for effective communication
- Familiarity with computers and software such as Microsoft Windows and Office
- Problem-solving skills suitable for the role
- Ability to prioritize and manage both routine and urgent tasks
- Composure in customer interactions, especially under challenging circumstances
- Strong verbal communication skills for presenting ideas clearly
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for the ARNG public website and GKO
- Manage content creation and graphic design for the Army National Guard Public Website
- Acquire and edit new content from various sources within the organization
- Propose best business practices for enhancing the operational efficiency of the website in collaboration with relevant teams
- Oversee any redesign projects and coordinate technical requirements with the Information Network Division
- Respond to inquiries from military personnel and the public, ensuring timely and complete answers
- Disseminate new standards to users, offer training, and evaluate waiver requests for mandatory standards
- Implement and lead projects with recommendations for further action
- Facilitate communication between SPZ, the public, and other federal agencies
- Attend meetings and document minutes for accountability and reporting
- Conduct web application monitoring and maintain content integrity
- Manage hardware and software for website performance and recommend upgrades
- Test and stay updated on new software packages for external ARNG web pages
- Oversee backup and recovery processes, maintaining an archive library
- Analyze performance logs daily and take corrective action as necessary
- Develop documentation reflecting best practices and operational changes for the website
- Implement security measures and monitor for issues, reporting concerns to the ARNG-G6
- Control access permissions for users on the website
- Support information security assessments for all Army National Guard public websites nationwide
- Regularly review system security performance logs and address anomalies as they arise
- Leverage expertise in web development to build, plan, and sustain the website
Description
We are dedicated to supporting the development and maintenance of the ARNG Guard Knowledge (GKO) site and the Army National Guards public website. This full-time, contract position offers a competitive salary starting at $50,000 per year, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental insurance, a retirement plan with 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
