Systems engineering manager

- Supervise a team of Systems Engineers/Designers in hardware engineering, software engineering, and network level commissioning for Major and Branch Projects. - Schedule and manage the workload of the Systems Engineering Team, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion of engineering work. - Provide project management with timeframe estimates for job cost evaluations. - Develop, implement, monitor, and communicate processes, strategies, and standards for the Systems Engineering team. - Offer engineering cost estimates during project development phases. - Explore new and innovative applications and operational techniques to enhance quality, reliability, and productivity. - Provide advanced technical support on application or implementation challenges as the Regional expert in application engineering. - Guide the Systems Engineers/Designers in selecting controllers and devices to meet specifications while minimizing installation costs. - Utilize financial, contract management, and other management reports to evaluate team performance. - Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, and architectural engineers to aid during project development. - Uphold high engineering standards, ensuring maximum reuse of proven designs and programs. - Conduct complex engineering tasks and support network commissioning as required. - Hire, retain, mentor, and manage the performance of direct reports, creating clear performance expectations and development plans. - Collaborate with Major Projects and Branch teams to ensure timely engineering deliverables supporting project success.
