Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, with a minimum of 3 years in a systems design capacity
- Strong technical expertise in software architecture and design, including knowledge of complex software systems and user interface development
- Excellent design and programming skills in C/C++
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and support for our architectural design and engineering strategies to align with technology and platform roadmaps
- Cultivate an environment centered on integrity and high ethical standards in line with Johnson Controls Core Values
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, firmware, controls, hardware, applications) to ensure cohesive integration of subsystems
- Design and implement secure embedded software solutions for equipment controls
- Engage in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including specifications, design documents, and prototyping
- Promote a culture of collaboration within the software team
- Influence software development methodologies with a focus on process improvement
- Leverage the latest technologies to develop user interfaces and advanced features for leading intelligent products
