Requirements

Must:
- PhD or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science - 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in AI/HPC infrastructure, data center operations, or equivalent technical roles - Previous experience in data center environments is highly desirable - Proven practical experience in deploying and managing LLM, VLM, training, inference, and HPC simulation workloads on GPU-based AI infrastructure - In-depth knowledge of AI hardware architectures (NVIDIA H100/H200, AMD MI300, etc.) and their thermal and power characteristics across different workloads - Solid understanding of data center mechanical systems (cooling distribution, heat rejection), electrical systems (power distribution, UPS), and networking architectures (InfiniBand, Ethernet fabrics) - Expertise in DCIM platforms, BAS integration, and digital twin modeling tools for infrastructure simulation and optimization - Familiarity with stress testing tools and workload orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Slurm, etc.), as well as telemetry collection frameworks - Proven ability to work autonomously, manage complex projects, and achieve results with minimal oversight - Demonstrated history of innovation and collaboration across various functions in data center or AI infrastructure settings - Excellent technical communication and presentation skills for participating in conferences and authoring white papers

Responsibilities

- Implement, configure, and oversee AI/HPC compute clusters operating on a variety of workloads including LLM training and inference, VLM applications, HPC simulations, and stress testing scenarios - Install and activate liquid cooling hardware such as direct-to-chip cold plates, CDUs, immersion systems, and hybrid cooling solutions tailored for high-density AI infrastructure - Design and execute strategies for workload management to assess thermal and power characteristics across CPU and GPU-based AI nodes under different operational conditions - Develop system-level digital twin simulations that incorporate IT telemetry alongside mechanical and electrical infrastructure data to illustrate cooling and computing efficiency interdependencies - Retrieve and analyze telemetry data from IT nodes, GPUs, CPUs, and thermal systems including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and CDUs to enhance performance and energy efficiency - Team up with thermal engineers and controls teams to verify cooling system performance under practical AI/HPC workloads and aid in new product introduction development initiatives - Integrate and utilize DCIM and BAS platforms for comprehensive infrastructure monitoring, predictive analytics, and operational improvement - Compose technical reports and industry white papers detailing research outcomes, best practices, and performance benchmarks for AI data center infrastructure - Represent our organization at industry conferences, technical forums, and customer interactions to share innovations and foster thought leadership in AI infrastructure optimization - Engage with hyperscalers, OEMs, and technology partners to align infrastructure solutions with the evolving demands of AI hardware and workloads - Contribute to technical publications, patent applications, and industry standards related to optimizing data center systems
