Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Over 5 years of experience in controls development, including a minimum of 3 years utilizing Model-Based Design with MATLAB/Simulink.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience in creating software requirements and specifications.
- Proven track record of effective teamwork and ability to support rapid product delivery.
- Experience in system identification, modeling, and data analysis is highly advantageous.
- Advanced expertise in MATLAB/Simulink, with a background in applying MBSD for embedded systems and driving automation and optimization improvements.
- Proficient in reading embedded code in C/C++ and capable of scripting in Python/MATLAB.
- Willingness to travel up to 5% as necessary to support projects and clients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a dynamic team to address new control requirements for decarbonization and cooling in data centers.
- Design, implement, test, and maintain control software for chillers and air handling units in data centers, large organizations, and industrial settings.
- Create reliable, maintainable, and testable code using MATLAB/Simulink while employing model-based design methodologies for embedded systems.
- Utilize control theory and engineering fundamentals, such as modeling, simulation, statistics, and data acquisition, to develop effective controllers.
- Employ data-driven modeling and machine learning techniques to analyze test results and build plant models for complex systems.
- Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to gather comprehensive software requirements and spearhead the development of innovative chiller and HVAC products.
