Security Product Designer

You will be tasked with developing comprehensive application solutions and estimates for strategic and complex opportunities, focusing on supporting our State and Government sales organization. Your tasks will involve providing technical and sales assistance for large-scale and integrated electronic security systems. This position requires visiting local customers and projects within NY. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with Sales Executives, Engineers, and Project Managers to assess customer needs and design integrated electronic security systems, encompassing access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection. - Creating and delivering precise system design specifications, proposals, and bills of materials (BOM). - Utilizing security system design tools to produce professional design documentation. - Offering sophisticated hardware and software security solutions customized to customer specifications. - Developing project plans, including tasks, timelines, and resource management. - Conducting consultative sessions, analyzing technical/process data, and designing scalable security architectures. - Assisting in scope development, quote creation, and functional specifications. - Keeping updated on industry standards and compliance requirements while reviewing bid specifications and preparing necessary documentation for RFPs and scopes of work. - Leading initiatives for new product rollouts while engaging with key manufacturers and developing tailored security solutions and internal documentation. - Providing technical and software design support during system startup and ensuring field teams comprehend and execute the system intent accurately. - Supporting installed systems with hardware/software updates and customer service. - Assisting with product demonstrations and events while visiting local customers and projects in NY.
