Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong technical ability and proficiency in leading technical discussions.
- Experience in diagnosing electrical systems.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering is preferred; an Associates degree or relevant trade school certification is also acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Lead the service operations for fielded magnetic bearing products.
- Provide first-level support for customer product issues in both factory and field settings.
- Ensure exceptional service delivery to both internal and external customers with a professional and courteous communication approach.
- Conduct root cause investigations utilizing the 8D problem-solving methodology and present findings to engineering, quality, service, and manufacturing teams.
- Manage and oversee the RMA database efficiently.
- Analyze data, generate reports, and relay customer feedback, including product failure rates, MTBF, statistical process control, and additional metrics as identified by management.
- Produce production documentation for RMA and repair/rework processes using the ERP system.
- Identify, support, and monitor Corrective and Preventive Action plans.
- Organize and track non-conformance and RMA inventory effectively.
- Perform internal audits and assist with preparations for external audit reviews.
- Engage with department heads to propose methods for process improvements.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and reliability initiatives.
- Consistently represent and uphold Synchronys mission and values.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by leadership.

In this role, you will provide essential support for our magnetic bearing products and deliver technical assistance in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of Synchrony products. This position is based onsite in Salem, VA, and candidates should be within commuting distance or willing to relocate, with various relocation packages available. We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $95,000, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
