Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience leading systems or application engineering teams
- Strong background in engineering project lifecycle, cost analysis, and system design
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
- Dedication to quality, technical innovation, and customer satisfaction
- Bachelors degree in engineering is preferable or a minimum of five years of experience in application engineering
- Previous experience supervising a technical or engineering team
- At least five years of progressive responsibility in the construction industry
Preferred:
- Masters degree or Professional Engineer Registration is highly desirable
- Recognized as a leading expert in multiple core engineering competencies
- Strong oral and written communication skills, particularly in presenting technical material
Responsibilities
- Guide a dynamic team of Systems Engineers and Designers to deliver innovative solutions that enhance building functionality
- Manage and organize your teams workload effectively, ensuring tasks are prioritized for optimal results
- Supply accurate timelines and engineering cost estimates to support project management in achieving budgetary and execution success
- Develop, improve, and advocate for engineering standards and processes that promote consistency, quality, and efficiency
- Introduce cutting-edge applications and operational techniques while identifying and implementing process improvements and emerging technologies
- Provide advanced technical support and serve as the regional authority in application engineering
- Lead a team of engineers and designers to choose technology that balances performance with cost-effectiveness
- Analyze performance data and reports to evaluate team and project success, driving ongoing improvement
- Cultivate meaningful relationships with customers, consultants, and architect engineers to facilitate project development and execution
- Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team by setting clear expectations, offering regular feedback, and establishing career development paths
- Collaborate with major projects and branch teams to synchronize resources, meet milestones, and surpass client expectations
