FA Designer, Project Systems Specialist

- I will have you organize and carefully plan your workload while mentoring and guiding less experienced design team members, ensuring effective collaboration with other design teams. - You will facilitate thorough reviews of initial designs, ensuring that value-engineered and code-compliant solutions are included where required. - I want you to work closely with colleagues to produce fully detailed technical submissions, including comprehensive schematics and drawings that meet established design criteria and industry standards. - I expect you to leverage your practical fire alarm experience to supervise the preparation of project submissions for medium-complexity systems, ensuring all system operations, drawings, and calculations are accurately represented. - You will conduct detailed calculations and analyses to verify that all system designs comply with applicable codes and standard requirements. - I want you to actively engage in pre/post-project design meetings and attend customer/site coordination meetings when necessary, providing insights and support based on your field experience. - You will develop and refine bills of materials based on designs to ensure effective construction processes and resource availability. - I need you to thoroughly evaluate completed submissions for equipment application, ensuring they are compatible and comply with project specifications and scope. - You will provide strategic support to Project Managers upon receipt of orders, helping to maintain and enhance project margins through effective solutions. - I expect you to review equipment applications, conduct research on external purchases, and confirm that all chosen equipment is compatible. - You will promptly respond to inquiries from customers, contractors, and relevant authorities regarding fire alarm system aspects as they arise. - I want you to collaborate with the Project Manager during system commissioning to ensure that system performance aligns with specified designs and operational requirements. - You will support field technical staff and subcontractors by delivering comprehensive technical assistance and effectively addressing design inquiries. - I require you to offer pre-sales estimate support to the sales and project management teams, emphasizing the significance of accurate details in proposals. - I will expect you to mentor and guide team members in completing project deliverables, focusing on the accuracy and efficiency of drawings and documentation. Additionally, perform related duties on assigned projects when necessary, stepping in if a team member is unavailable. - You will direct, support, and carefully review the work products produced by team members to ensure high-quality outputs. - I need you to continuously monitor actual hours worked to ensure all time is correctly coded to respective projects and remains within the originally estimated hours sold.
