Equipment Systems Application Specialist

- I provide technical support, selections, and limited estimating assistance to Account Executives during the project design or proposal phase, and I help in developing the customers’ rationale for the conceptual solution. - I support detailed project estimating for Account Executives to finalize and present to clients. - I validate assumptions made during the proposal and development phase. I build a detailed cost estimate and scope of work for assigned projects in collaboration with the sales team. Additionally, I assist in preparing proposals and customer communication documents, along with any necessary design work. - I prepare proposal quote letters for customers on assigned projects, which includes project take-offs, specification reviews, special quotation generation, and handling RFQs and RFIs. - I manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) of all assigned projects by utilizing the Johnson Controls equipment order execution process. This includes overseeing the execution of equipment orders and closely working with the branch to manage backlog execution, scheduling, and forecasting for equipment projects up to two years in advance. - I verify the approval submittals and configuration acceptances by the installation contractor prior to leasing equipment for fabrication and carefully assess the contractual scope of supply, the impact of client-issued bulletins, field directives, and scheduling changes to coordinate accordingly. - I prepare change order proposals with the sales team and execute related tasks. - I coordinate the factory equipment order process to ensure compliance with technical and commercial contract documents and site requirements. - I am responsible for generating technical content for Purchase Orders, selecting materials and equipment, and tracking their delivery, maintaining close communication with all parties, including customers. - I effectively communicate project progress, including financials, to all relevant management team members. - I review and process all project-related invoices for payment and work closely with the operations team to address any billing or collection issues in a timely manner. - I visit customer sites as required to ensure that delivery and receipt of critical equipment comply with both Johnson Controls and customer owner standards. - I maintain viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors, and subcontractors, attending all essential meetings.
