Controls Lead Engineer - Integration Design

Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in technical design and integration for smart buildings
- Ability to understand customer requirements and create tailored integration solutions
- Proficient in presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences, including business executives
- Demonstrated capacity for driving innovative solutions and challenging status quos
- Proven success in technical design and implementation within integration and controls engineering
- Experience leading customer consulting projects involving senior stakeholders and enterprise architects
- Familiarity with building IoT protocols such as BACnet, MQTT, AMQP
- Knowledge of APIs and network protocols including LoRaWAN, Bluetooth/BLE, Zigbee, Cellular/Wi-Fi
- Experience with both on-premises and cloud platforms
- Awareness of cybersecurity and data security best practices
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant technical field (preferred)
- PLC experience is a plus (preferred)
- Knowledge of frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman, or FEA (preferred)
- Industry experience in healthcare or manufacturing is highly desirable (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead integration workshops with customers and stakeholders to outline integration requirements using design thinking methodologies
- Collaborate with solution architects to develop comprehensive vertical and horizontal integration use cases to meet project goals
- Define and create integration architecture patterns and standards to guide implementations across controls and technologies
- Design solutions that leverage OT/IT ecosystems, addressing operational interactions and data/event feeds
- Validate integration architectures using engineering principles and design patterns, recommending emerging technologies when suitable
- Provide strategic consulting to account teams and customer decision-makers on technologies and solutions that support business objectives
- Manage bid activities, including crafting pricing packages and scope of work documents for multi-domain projects
- Oversee engineering contributions to project plans, risk assessments, and technical documentation to support successful project management
