Controls Engineer

- Play a critical role in pre-sales engineering, design, and estimation during project design and proposal phases - Validate assumptions made during Solution Design, Estimation, and Scope of Work for projects in collaboration with sales and operations teams - Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to develop compliant designs for contract, site coordination, and installation requirements - Conduct technical risk analysis for comprehensive solutions - Participate in transition meetings with the operations team to address project scope, objectives, timelines, and customer requirements - Perform on-site data collection at customer locations - Assist in post-contract design evaluations - Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, global products, and service providers to communicate needs, assess quotes, negotiate offers, and finalize solutions - Create detailed techno-commercial proposals and related documents for client presentation - Ensure timely provision of selections, specifications, sequences, drawings, and document reviews as necessary - Identify and share best engineering practices across the organization - Work with Post Sales Engineering teams to oversee submission of drawings and documents to customers following a sale - Uphold and follow QA/QC policies and procedures - Coordinate with team leaders to manage project backlog execution and scheduling - Assist Strategic Account Managers with bid responses and functional specifications - Support members of the Strategic Accounts Sales and Business Operations teams with project cost estimates - Review installed systems to ensure product revision control and provide customer support - Contribute to evaluating and beta testing new systems and subsystems to meet comprehensive requirements - Aid in planning, setup, and support for National Accounts product demonstrations, industry shows, and exhibitions
