Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- More than 5 years of experience in creating technical documentation and providing product technical support to customers and internal staff via various communication channels
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex product system issues
- Knowledge of controls, control panels, system wiring, and instrumentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and internet software
- Capable of writing technical documents and literature
- Skilled in identifying and interpreting problems and opportunities through analysis of quantitative and qualitative data; able to make informed decisions and optimize outcomes
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain technical literature, service bulletins, and service letters for both new product initiatives and current offerings
- Enhance product reliability through continuous improvement processes for both existing and new products
- Serve as a subject matter expert in product technical support and collaborate with quality management and engineering for lifecycle cost improvements
- Assist in creating and executing test plans for new and existing product offerings
- Adapt effectively to changing responsibilities and environments; explore benefits of changes and collaborate with others for successful transitions
- Innovate unique solutions with measurable benefits for customers and promote teamwork in problem-solving
- Prioritize customer perspectives in decision-making and implement service practices that meet both customer and organizational needs
- Encourage team contributions towards organizational strategies while ensuring clarity in roles and performance accountability
Description
We are Johnson Controls, actively seeking a Chiller Product Technical Support Engineer to deliver technical support and identify risks related to serviceability, safety, quality, and reliability for our New Product Introduction teams. This remote position caters to candidates based in the US and entails collaboration with various internal teams, including Field Sales and Service organizations. We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $150,000, a performance-based bonus plan, and a robust benefits package, designed to recognize and reward exceptional talent.
