Air handling unit application engineer

- Provide commercial, competitive, and technical application support to the field sales team on all aspects of Custom and Standard Air Handling Units with minimal supervision. - Collaborate with a small group of technical professionals to deliver clear solutions to requests from the field sales organization regarding AHU project support, focusing strongly on Basis of Design. - Offer application training and project management as required for Air Handling Systems to the field sales team. - Assist with Customer Visits (factory tours) as needed. - Participate in the testing of AHU selection and pricing software. - Work alongside the Field Sales team, manufacturing, engineering, and Customer Service to address Air Handling Unit order concerns. - Collaborate with engineering to devise cost-effective solutions to unique Air Handling Unit applications. - Support Airside Technical Service with field application challenges as necessary. - Create technical documents to assist the field sales team in various facets of air handling applications as needed. - Partner with marketing to formulate selection and pricing software requirements as required. - Identify optimal techniques, procedures, and theories, and apply them to the analysis, design, and research of air handling products. - Employ advanced problem-solving strategies that leverage creativity and innovation. - Review and assess engineering rules and documentation as needed. - Suggest cost-saving and value engineering alternatives for Air Handling Units and systems. - Provide technical guidance to other engineers, drafters, or technicians on distinct work projects. - Demonstrate proficiency in preparing, verifying, and coordinating the release of documentation for Custom and Standard Air Handling products. - Exhibit proficiency in translating concepts into product requirements while applying the philosophy of concurrent engineering with manufacturing processes. - Conduct feasibility studies and system analysis for new applications as necessary. - Commit to continuous improvement and teamwork in product development and processes.
