Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Possess a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Hold a minimum of five years of relevant experience in wireless communications engineering.
- Exhibit strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, along with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Be capable of working independently on projects.
- Have the ability to travel within the continental United States; occasional travel to sponsor sites local to our organization may also be necessary.
- Be eligible to obtain an Interim Top Secret level security clearance by your start date and ultimately qualify for a Top Secret level clearance. If chosen for the position, you will undergo a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information, which include U.S. citizenship.
You will exceed our minimum qualifications if you:
- Bring at least five years of experience in commercial and/or government Wireless Communications Engineering.
- Have hands-on experience with some combination of the following programming languages: MATLAB, Python, C++/C, PyTorch, TensorFlow.
- Demonstrate recent knowledge of the DoD or intelligence community, sponsors, and programs.
- Hold an active Top Secret clearance or higher.
Responsibilities
As a Wireless Communications Research Engineer, you will:
- Engage in wireless communication systems engineering research to support Cyber Operations, Special Operations, and Homeland Protection Mission Areas.
- Research and devise innovative solutions for military and government sponsors.
- Apply problem-solving and analytical skills to telecommunications, remote sensing, anomaly detection, and other related fields.
- Lead the research and development of groundbreaking solutions to address complex issues in wireless communications.
- Identify suitable algorithms and methods for tackling vital communications challenges through advanced signal processing, data processing, and machine learning techniques.
- Create software prototypes for novel signal processing methodologies.
- Document your work in formal technical reports and informal memoranda, and present findings to sponsors and the technical community.
- Collaborate closely with sponsors to test prototypes and operational systems, ensuring mission success.
