Requirements

Must:
We require that candidates possess a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline, accompanied by at least ten years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Master’s degree (or higher) in one of the aforementioned fields with a minimum of five years of relevant experience is acceptable. You should exhibit proficiency in communication theory and digital signal processing (DSP), supported by a foundational understanding and experience with the physical, data link, or media access layers of communication systems. Experience in modeling and simulating the physical layer using MATLAB, Python, or similar programming languages is essential. Familiarity with areas such as geolocation, detection and estimation theory, or waveform design is beneficial. Moreover, you must have the capability to obtain an Interim Top Secret level security clearance by your start date and ultimately achieve a Top Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information, which includes U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

As a Wireless Communications Algorithm Engineer, you will engage in various responsibilities including: - Investigating new technologies and crafting solutions to address emerging threats. - Supporting the development of digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms. - Delivering implementable technical solutions to the Nation's most formidable challenges. - Translating ambiguous concepts into practical, clearly defined, and methodical technical strategies. - Clearly communicating technical results through written reports and presentations. - Working with technologies and concepts related to wireless communications, SATCOM, physical and MAC layer protocols, software-defined radio (SDR), waveform design, RF modeling and simulation, RF system analysis, and transceiver design.
