Requirements
Must:
- Hold a B.S. degree or possess equivalent professional IT experience.
- Have a minimum of one year of practical Windows Server engineering experience with Windows Server 2019 or 2022.
- Exhibit strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to articulate issues and propose realistic solutions.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication abilities, and collaborate efficiently with personnel and clients at all levels.
- Capable of obtaining a Secret security clearance, necessitating U.S. citizenship and compliance with classified information access requirements.
- Available for occasional Saturday and early-morning duties on Tuesdays or Thursdays, roughly once every four weeks.
Responsibilities
- Manage Windows Server environments, including the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of Windows-based systems to ensure system stability and data security.
- Troubleshoot OS and application performance issues, adhering to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Assess, evaluate, and implement hardware, software, and enterprise management tools to enhance the efficiency of the Windows Server environment.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and uphold system security by applying monthly Microsoft OS and third-party security patches using tools such as Ivanti Security Controls and PDQ Deploy.
