Requirements
Must:
We consider you a suitable candidate for this position if you meet the following criteria:
- Hold a BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in web-based user interface development using Typescript and React.
- Utilize modern software development tools and methodologies, including Git, Jira, and Agile Scrum.
- Possess experience with the DevSecOps software development lifecycle.
- Have a proven track record of success in working with large codebases within a team setting.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Be eligible to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance upon your start date and ultimately obtain a Secret level clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.
You will exceed our minimum qualifications if you:
- Hold an MS or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Have 5 or more years of experience in frontend web development using Typescript and React.
- Have experience developing backends with Python.
- Have written frontend tests using Jest and/or Cypress.
- Have developed and managed GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Have experience utilizing the Material UI component library.
- Have containerized software using Docker and Podman.
- Have a track record of working successfully in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Hold an active Top Secret level security clearance.
Responsibilities
As a Web-based User Interface Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing web-based user interfaces for military planning tools, prototypes, and analytical systems.
- Collaborating with backend developers from other project teams to integrate system functionalities.
- Ensuring the quality of the codebase by participating in code reviews and writing software tests and documentation.
- Engaging with Human System Engineers as necessary during feature design, implementation, and review.
