Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who meet our minimum qualifications, which include:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- At least 7 years of applied technical experience in Systems Engineering.
- Over 3 years of direct experience in complex System-of-Systems (SoS) engineering and integration, including developing requirements and specifications or interface documentation.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in successfully leading a team of engineers.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time, as required.
- Ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance, with the ultimate goal of receiving a Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite).
You will exceed our basic criteria if you:
- Hold a Master’s or Ph.D. in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Possess 7+ years of extensive deep technical experience in Systems Engineering and are proficient in standard Model-Based Systems Engineering processes.
- Have experience in the Precision Strike domain and familiarity with Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM), Tomahawk Strike Network (TSN), Mission Planning, or hypersonic weapon systems.
- Understand the kill chain of precision strike or anti-air warfare.
- Have experience with Link-16, Common Data Link (CDL), Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), or unmanned surface vehicles.
- Have technical experience with surface combat systems and end-to-end weapon engagement support.
- Demonstrate outstanding initiative, energy, and organizational abilities.
- Possess an active Top Secret or higher security clearance.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Weapons Integration System Engineer, you will:
- Utilize your prior experience to tackle complex System-of-Systems integration issues for the U.S. Navy’s innovative programs, including Zumwalt, AEGIS, and Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.
- Serve as a recognized expert on the command and control (C2) aspects relevant to the surface warfare domain, including comprehension of data pathways, logical implementation, and interfaces enabling new kill chains.
- Execute in-depth technical analyses to resolve critical SoS integration obstacles and guide design efforts to address emerging challenges.
- Develop engineering deliverables such as performance specifications, requirements, trade study reports, CONOPS, test management plans, test protocols, schedules, and data gathering plans for both laboratory and shipboard live-fire tests.
- Prepare for and participate in technical interchange meetings, offering technical insights to contractors, government representatives, and research lab attendees.
- Lead collaboration with multiple agencies to create, review, and confirm the effectiveness of new processes and logic for combat systems capabilities.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to government sponsors, offering recommendations and guidance on acquisition decisions.
